The Great Barrier Reef


The Great Barrier Reef is a site of remarkable variety and 
beauty on the north-east coast of Australia. 
It contains the world’s largest collection of coral reefs, 
with 400 types of coral, 1,500 species of fish and
 4,000 types of mollusc.



It also holds great scientific interest as the habitat of 
species such as the dugong (‘sea cow’) and the large green turtle,
which are threatened with extinction.

Marble Caves Chile Chico (or «Las Cavernas DE Marmol»),
 which located on the border of Chile and Argentina is one of
 the most beautiful places of our planet.



The primitive beauty of the marble rocks
combined with the crystal clear water of the 
Lago General Carrera mountain lake makes one believe,
 that heaven does exist, and it is somewhere in this place.



Iguazu Falls

The Iguazu River rises near the city of Curitiba
The river flows through Brazil for most of its course, 
although most of the falls are on the Argentine side.




Legend has it that a god planned to marry a beautiful woman named Naipí,
 who fled with her mortal lover Tarobá in a canoe
In rage, the god sliced the river, 
creating the waterfalls and condemning the lovers to an eternal fall.

Pamukkale, meaning "cotton castle" in Turkish
is a natural site in Denizli Province in southwestern Turkey
The city contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of 
carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. 
It is located in Turkey's Inner Aegean region, 
in the River Menderes valley, 
which has a temperate climate for most of the year.


Pamukkale is a tourist attraction.
 It is recognized as a World Heritage Site together with
 Hierapolis. Hierapolis-Pamukkale was made a
 World Heritage Site in 1988

Salar de Uyuni (or Salar de Tunupa) is the world's largest salt flat 
at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi). It is located in the Potosí 
and Oruro departmentsin southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes
 and is at an elevation of 3,656 meters (11,995 ft) above mean sea level.





The Salar was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes.
 It is covered by a few meters of salt crust, which has an extraordinary flatness with 
the average altitude variations within one meter over the entire area of the Salar. 
The crust serves as a source of salt and covers a pool of brine
which is exceptionally rich in lithium.


Plitvice Lakes National Park

Plitvice Lakes National Park

Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest national park in 
Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia.


The national park was founded in 1949 and is situated in the 
mountainous karst area of central Croatia, at the border to
Bosnia and Herzegovina. The important north-south road connection,
 which passes through the national park area,
 connects the Croatian inland with the Adriatic coastal region.
